HOW TO BECOME A CELEBRITY

Hey everyone!

So today I want to briefly go over this website that could potentially help you become the star you've always wanted to be. Long story short, it's a website where you can upload audition videos via webcam or pre-recorded videos. They go straight to the casting director that is holding the auditions and if they like your video, you can be called in for either the callbacks or given the job. Sound too good to be true? Well it isn't.

The website was founded by Paula Abdul. She wants to change the way the audition industry is. When you first go on the website, there are users' videos everywhere. You can make an Introductory video and then start uploading auditions for your specific likes or skip the Introductions. There are a  limited amount of auditions but the website is updated frequently so if you don't like any of the casting calls, you can check back.

It's also not only for actors/actresses. If you're a singer, they have auditions for you as well. Even if you don't have any talent, they have reality show auditions. But let me just say, the site is relatively new so it's not the best of websites just yet but it is one of the few. It's free to sign up and audition but if you want to put your video at the top of a casting director's inbox, there's a fee. If you're serious about breaking into the entertainment industry, then go for it. If you don't have the money just yet, it's not that big of a deal. Now the website can give you more information than I can so check it out by clicking here. It's called Audition Booth. It's very easy to navigate but here are some suggested tips;

1. Get familiar with the website by scrolling all the way down and click on About Audition Booth. Make sure you click on the FAQ's. Go back to the main page and check out the Open Auditions. Watch some of the other users' videos that can be found on the main page.

2. If all of this is appealing to you, go ahead and create an account here.

3. Then you can continue to make your first Introductory video if you so choose. This is highly recommended by me because you can get to know the other people that use the site. Be sure to check out their videos, like them, become a fan, write comments, and send messages. If you're a social person, it's a lot more fun when you have someone who wants the same things as you to talk to.

4. Start auditioning and tell your friends!

It's that simple. So I'm going to stop talking so you can get to it and become the celebrity you've wanted to be. Just make sure you thank me when you're giving your acceptance speech at the Oscars.

RELEASE YOUR INNER NERD!

I know. I've been gone over a week after I just said I was going to update this blog more often but you have to admit, updating a blog is like a full time job and I'm already a full time college student. But the real reason why I haven't been updating this blog (yes, I'm going to be honest) is because of that picture below.

Yes I just discovered World of Warcraft. The hugest MMO game in the world with over 8 million subscribers. I got the free trial about a week ago and I have been playing it almost religiously. I heard a bunch of talk about Cataclysm coming out and I was like "What the heck is that?" So I researched and I decided to try it and see what all the fuss was about.

I started out as a night elf. I wanted to be a blood elf but I don't have The Burning Crusade expansion pack. Now I'm playing as a Gnome Priest. I love the gnome although I didn't think I would. My trial is almost up in about a day and I've been seriously contemplating whether or not I want to upgrade. My final decision is that I might.

I'm getting a MacBook pretty soon so maybe I'll wait or maybe I'll get it now and just transfer my account to my laptop. All I know is I'm addicted and while I'm sitting here writing about it, I could be playing the game.

If you like interacting with others and killing stuff, then this game is definitely for you. If you have the money of course. If you're not sure, you can definitely try it for free here. You get a 10 day free trial and then you can upgrade if you would like. And don't worry, if you get addicted like me and your free trial ends, your characters will still be there when you upgrade. Only thing is that it takes forever to download because it is such a huge file. So make sure you have at least a little over 1GB of RAM. It took over 12 hours for my computer to download it so make sure you don't put your computer to sleep. Unless you'll be on your computer for 12 hours?

P.S. I know WoW isn't a nerdy game. Or maybe it is. Either way, I'm hooked.

Where The Heck Have I Been?

I know. I know. It's been a good minute since I've updated this blog. I wrote for my school website and I would make a blog post to upload to the site and after the school semester ended I got lazy with this blog. But not anymore, kiddos.

I have been trying to get busy with my New Year's Resolutions. Some of them include

• losing weight
• writing a book

Yes I am writing a book but I won't reveal what it's about until it's done. Sorry! And I am so out of shape it's not even funny. So now I work out (something I never do). I dance three times a week and yoga twice. Maybe I'll do a fitness blog. Hmm... Ok I'm rambling. The reason I'm writing this blog is to let you guys know what you can expect from this blog from now on.

As you may or may not know, I make review videos on YouTube. I will have more in depth reviews here on the blog as well as updates and things I may have left out of the video. You can expect reviews over

• fitness type things
• foods
• movies
• TV shows
• makeup
• and more!

Also I will probably give updates on important aspects of my life such as 

• how my book's coming along
• my weight loss updates
• becoming a fashion stylist
• breaking into the entertainment industry
• once again AND MORE!

I think it will be interesting to see how 2011 is with blogs and life. So stay updated because we're going to get started really soon.
